International Research Exchange Spotlight
October 9, 2025
This summer, Reliability Engineering Ph.D. student Samantha Wismer spent eight weeks in Trondheim, Norway, on a research exchange at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Hosted by the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Sami collaborated with NTNU researchers on PEM electrolysis projects and gained valuable insight into ongoing hydrogen safety research.
Outside the lab, Sami explored Norway’s incredible natural landscapes and shared her work during a departmental seminar.
Sami stated “I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with such knowledgeable researchers in the field of hydrogen safety and explore such a beautiful and welcoming country.”
We’re proud to see our students building global connections and advancing research that supports a safer and more sustainable energy future!
