$600K Gift Creates Hong Ji Fellowship
October 10, 2007
"The Hong Ji Distinguished Fellowship in Bioengineering permanently establishes the vision of its donor--to help engaged and talented graduate students work for the betterment of human life," said Fischell Department of Bioengineering Chair William Bentley. "We are indebted to Hong Ji for this tremendous endorsement of the quality of our young program and for understanding and supporting the crucial role graduate students play in advancing life-saving research."
The gift will award a one-year, $25,000 fellowship to one graduate student each year. Bentley said the department will work to ensure that recipients will receive a research grant paying at least $25,000 during their second year of study.
