Join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to learn about two prestigious federal research fellowship programs open to postdoctoral and senior researchers with a Ph.D., Sc.D., M.D., or D.V.M. (or near completion).

The NRC Research Associateship Programs (NRC RAP) and the Air Force Science & Technology Fellowship Program (AF STFP) support independent, mission-driven research at federal laboratories and agencies nationwide. With more than 1,500 active Research Opportunities, fellows contribute to high-impact work across engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, mathematics, data science, and related disciplines.

A representative from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), one of NRC RAP’s participating sponsor agencies, will share an overview of the agency, highlight transportation-focused research priorities, and discuss the role of research associates within their organization.
